ADDCo began in a school hall in 2012 & moved into their own premises in January 2013. Closing our first year with just 39 students. The business has had steady growth over the years, performing at many community events eg: Australia Day in Woodward Park, The Royal Easter Show, various shopping centre & retirement village performances, as well as the Local Mayors Seniors Luncheon. We have also performed at several ‘Carol’s by Candlelight’ for various organisations & performances at high profile clubs in the area. We also compete in competitions achieving high results & this year qualified to compete in the National Titles in Queensland, being successful in qualifying for the next level, ‘Hollywood Bound’
We also participate in examinations with the ‘Royal Academy of Dance’ & ‘Australasian Dance Association’, achieving very high results. Every year the number of students taking these examinations exceeds the year before. At Australian Dance & Drama Co we try to develop a well-rounded individual that can walk into the world not only confident in the arts but able to walk into any room/situation & own it. We currently have over 350 students participating in our programs.
My team & I have a deep passion for the delivery of the Performing Arts, even Covid did not stop us. We kept engagement high with all our families whom were very grateful for the intervention.
