Established in 1983 in Bendigo, CVGT Australia has been providing employment services for more than 30 years. Initially responding to a local governments’ survey which identified a need for employment services for young people looking for apprenticeships in regional Victoria, the business has grown from strength to strength and now employs over 280 people across a diverse range of employment programs and specialties.

With offices and consultants across Victoria, Tasmania and New South Wales, CVGT Australia is still growing its team of experienced staff and its range of employment services. We deliver programs such as Disability Employment Services, Group Training, jobactive, ParentsNext, Transition to Work and Second Chance. We help young people find apprenticeships and traineeships; we help parents get back to work; we assist the unemployed to become job-ready and find employment; we support people with disability, injury or illness in finding and keeping work and we offer an alternate employment activity for people before the court.

Employment is an essential part of life for most of us. Holding down a job gives us a reason to get up every morning, it puts food on our tables, enables our children to participate in sports, allows us luxuries like travel, technology and entertainment, but most of all it has the ability to really strengthen our sense of self-worth – something we’re not always aware of until it’s taken away. A good job gives us challenges to overcome, responsibility and, if we’re lucky, a sense of community as well.
