Disability South West Limited was formed from the merger of the Liverpool Fairfield Disabled Persons Resource Service Inc. and the Liverpool Fairfield Community Learning Centre Inc. on the 9th January 2007.
The two former organisations had long and distinguished service to the community since 1981.
Liverpool Fairfield Disabled Persons Resource Service was established as a project of the 1981 international year of people with a disability and was a seeding organisation for many other disability related organisations like Share Care, YADA, and Liverpool Fairfield Community Transport and continued to provide support and linkages to the local communities.
The Liverpool Fairfield Community Learning Centre was established in 1992 by local parents of children with disabilities who wanted to provide adult recreation and living skills programs for their children.
